Quality Assurance (QA)

refers to practices whereby academic standards are maintained and improved. QA in higher education aims at developing a 
quality culture within the institution, so that the actions of its staff and students are inspired by a desire to continuously improve their practice, learning experience and outcomes. Quality Assurance is not about the ‘ticking of boxes’ simply to make sure that the appropriate procedures or processes are in place. It is about fostering an academic community of reflective practice that engages, both internally and externally, in an ongoing cycle of quality as an integral component of its striving for excellence in teaching, learning, research and outreach.

In May 2015 Senate appointed a Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) to review the current QA structures of the University so as to ensure that the quality culture of the University is further enhanced. This website also provides information on the Quality Support Unit, which is the administrative arm of the QAC. Students, staff and other stakeholders are also invited to get in touch with the QAC to communicate any queries, comments, or good practices they wish to highlight.

教学质量保障

质量保障(QA)指的是维持和提升学术标准的实践。高等教育中的质量保障旨在在机构内部培养一个质量文化,以激励其教职员工和学生不断改进他们的实践、学习体验和成果。质量保障并不是仅仅为了确保适当的程序或流程已经到位而进行的“打勾”操作。它旨在促进一个反思实践的学术社区,使其在教学、学习、研究和推广方面内外参与持续的质量循环,作为追求卓越的一个组成部分。

2015年5月,参议院任命了一个质量保障委员会(QAC),以审查大学现有的质量保障结构,以确保大学的质量文化得到进一步增强。本网站还提供有关质量支持单位的信息,该单位是QAC的行政机构。学生、教职员工和其他利益相关者也被邀请与QAC联系,以提出任何疑问、评论或希望强调的良好做法。
